IB – 2 ( DE – SCALER)

For safe & effective De-scaling (Chemical Cleaning ) of Boilers Economisers, Kier-Heaters Heat Exchangers. Jocketted Vessels, Condensors, Generators Cooling-Towers, injection-Mouulding Machines, Plywood Machines. Hot Plates and Many Other Water Cooling-Systems. Without injuring the base metal.

WHAT IS SCALE

 Water is a Universal Solvent Which Dessolves every thing which comes in contact with it, in different proportions.  Some things dessolves quickely while in some cases it is slow or negiligible, conclusion, Water from any source of nature always contains various Dessolved or Suspended impurites. The dissolved impurities are due to the sulphates, Bio carbonates.  Carbonates, Chloiride etc. of Ca & Mg. Which are responsible of making deposits called SCALE in boilers, Condensors, Jacketts, Compressors  and other Heat Transfer Systems.

WHY TO USE IB-2(DE-SCALER)

It is not possible to remove scale physically or using mechanical scrappers because of design complications in many systems and equipments. Therefore it has to be cleaned chemically IB-2 (De-Scaler) Dessolves Scale by Forming 80% as gas and 20% as sludge & slurry.

HOW SCALE EFFECTS THE EFFICIENCY

1. FUEL WASTAGE : On account of lower thermal conductivity of scale, Large quantity Fue 2. OVER HEATING: Scale depositted tubes or system is over heated in process of steam generation, this also leads to distortion and unequal expension and their is always a feare of tubes of Systems being Cracked or Ruptured. 3. EFFECT ON FLOW AND CAPACITY : On account of scale formation surface area/Diameter of the system is reduced resulting in reduction of flow and also completely chocked some times, causing a serious accident.

GENERAL

IB-2(DE-SCALER) : ls a highly lndhibitted‘ Add SOLVENT which removes lncrustations. Scale, Fur and other objectionable surface deposits from hot and cold water systems which includes : BOlLERS, ECONOMISERS, KIER HEATERS, HEAT EXCHANGERS, CONDENSORS, AIR/AMMONIA COMPRESSORS. JACKETTED VESSELS, PUMP & PIPE LINES Without injuring the Metal.

PROPERTIES

1. IB-2(DE-SCALER) : is a Red Coloured (Specific Gravity 1.08) Acidic Solution, containing maximum quantity of lnhibitters and has a high capacity for desolving scale by virtue of the strong chemicals present in it and yet practically has no action at all on most metals used for plant, under the severest oonditons of test.
2. IB-2(DE-SCALER) :
Desolving Scale, Generates CO,and other gases and the resultant effervesences continues untiil the scale is dessolved. To fecilitate this reaction adequate ventillation is necessary.
3. IB-2(DE-SCALER) :
ls a safest, of all available brands of De-Scalers. in the event of the De-Scaler Contacts the skin or goes accidentaly into the eyes of the operator it must be washed thoroughly with water
4. IB-2(DE-SOALER) :
Has got lndenifite Storage life.
5. IB-2 (DE-SCALER) 
Can be used for removal of range of oxides of lron including Black-Mill Scale (Magnetite) and chromium, Zinc Cadmium plate as "Immersion Bath“ in metal finishing /Processing application.
6. IB-2 (DE-SCALER)
Is also useful in cleaning well Screens as it efiectively removes hard water scales, Corrossion products and iron -Slat deposits.
7. IB-2 (DE-SCALER)
Can be used whether the equipment to be cleaned is ON-STREAM or on ‘SHUT-DOWN’ position.
8. IB-2 (DE-SCALER)
is not generally recommended for Cleaning Aluminum, G.I. or Zinc alloys

APPLICATION AND CLEANING WITH IB-2 (DE-SCALER)

ln case where the scale is Carbonate or hydroxide, cleaning may be accomplished at ordinary temperature whereas in cases. Where the scale is predominantly Chlorides, Silicates. or phosphates solution must be heated for better Results The General technique for De-Scaling (Chemical Cleaning) with IB-2 (De-Scaler) is to treat deposits with dilute 15% W to 25% VV Solution of IB-2 For a period. Sufiicient to ensure complete Dissolution or desertion the Solution may be heated if necessary but the temperature should not be more the 60°c. Cleaning may be done other wise by fill and sock method or by circulating the chemical.

PROCEDURE OF CLEANING

The plant to be cleaned is studied & a circulation path is planned & the pipe work & other equipment necessary to give a complete circuit is rigged. The finished temporary circuit. must include. adapter flanges valves, mixing tank for cemical and a suitable size circulation pump. Parts of the plant not to be cleaned are isolated by blinds and valves. The vent point are essential to expell the gase produces during cleaning (chiefly C02). The Vent Points Must be positioned at the highest point 0 the circuit. For the process. the unit to be De-Scaled is filled With water up to the level to be cleaned. The water is circulated and the system is throughly checked for leaks. If the cleaning is to be done at raised temperature the system is filled either with pre heated water or the cold water is heated by system coll or manifold etc. Keep the temperature under 60°C. A volume of wate rapproximately equal to the volume of De-Scaler to be added is drained form the system and De-Scaler is added slowly to the mixing tank. The De-Scaler may be left in contact with the Scale deposits for 6 to 14 hours depending upon the thickness and quality of the scale.

PRECAUTIONS

Before and after the De-Scaling, it is necessary to treat the equipment with 5% solution Sodium Crbonate & Sodium Hydroxide, in waterjust to make the scale soft, in previous case and to neutralize the acid effects in later case. Iron surface are very active after De~Scaling and get rusted rapidly in hunmid conditions. To avoid this 01% . solution of Hydrazine, if brought in contact with the surface prevents the rust to form. The De-Scaling of small components, parts of the requipments may be done by immersing in a small bath of dilute. De-Scaler 1 :4 Ratio.
